A small meeting

A lot of activity pub and comments and a little bit about Apple and podcast: links at the start.

Another Dev meeting. Dave Jones laid out his ideas for subscription content in public feeds and Alecks suggested JSON Web Tokens because it is a rule that JSON must be mentioned in every meeting.

Lots of stuff

We covered Twitter, Strike, Brian is full of Shit and then reason codes in Podping, live notifications and chapter changes.

Alecks gave an update on the 1st Beta release of Podping server. News from Mitch about Podverse. Updates on Hive/Lightning Bridge and Brian's V4V.app.

Alert the affiliates, we went long! Lots of stuff on streaming sats, when to batch, update from Mitch on Podverse and from Martin on Podfriend. Toward the end we got into Podping and the live notification system.

Not a huge turn out but two things covered: Brian spoke about his integration of Lightning value 4 value payments into Hive and 3speak and the bridge he's building. Alecks spoke more about the longer term aims with Podping and especially the going live notification facility it will bring. Not everyone has grasped the significance of a cross-app cross-device decentralised instant notification system: these have only previously existed in silos like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

Some discussion on Activity pub and decentralised comments. Briefly about 3speak. Lightning discussion and especially about reliance on LNPay at the end.

Yassine Doghri from Castopod gave us a look into Castopod's implementation of ActivityPub as the back end for comments and social features on Podcasting 2.0.

We had a big discussion on ActivityPub for shared, cross-app comments and other social features. Also some input on adding Person tags via Wordpress.
