About

Wolverine, Black Widow, Star-Lord, Hawkeye, and Doctor Doom will team up to stop Valeria Richards. She is the smartest woman on Earth, immortal and lonely beyond reason. After surviving a rain of nuclear missiles in Southern California and gaining possession of the reality warping Cosmic Cube, she was driven to the brink of madness. Something mysterious is unfolding in this irradiated “Dead Zone” and it’s up to our heroes to find out what, and to stop Valeria from committing an act of ultimate evil.   • Chapter One: Record of a Fallen World
    Many years after being known as Guardians of the Galaxy, Peter Quill and Rocket return to a dying Earth on a mercenary mission to retrieve a valuable object, and pick up an extra passenger on the way.
  • Chapter Two: The Wastelands
    After a disastrous arrival in what used to be the United States, Star-Lord, Rocket and Cora get a ride from a local named Red.
  • Chapter Three: Blood Farmer
    While taking refuge at Red Crotter's farm, Star-Lord, Rocket and Cora learn more about what happened on Earth, and make a plan for how to get the Black Vortex.
  • Chapter 4: Deer on a Spear
    After saying goodbye to Red, Star-Lord, Rocket and Cora set off for Doomwood, in search of someone who might be able to lead them to the Black Vortex. Meanwhile, the blood thirsty Kraven targets his next victim.
  • Chapter 5: Heaven and Hellfire
    After Star-Lord's unsuccessful attempt to save Sebastian Warn, Cora makes arrangements for Star-Lord and Rocket to go into hiding at the Heaven and Hellfire, the most popular club in Doomwood. However, it's unclear if the club's proprietor, the eternally youthful telepath Emma Frost, is a friend or foe.
  • Chapter 6: Trust Exercise
    Star-Lord and Rocket split up to find the quickest way to the Black Vortex - and out of their guillotine collars. Emma Frost passes a test of loyalty, and gives Cora a test of her own.
  • Chapter 7: Catching Fire
    While Rocket and Joanna Forge try to find something strong enough to cut through adamantium collars, Emma, Cora and Star-Lord make a plan to infiltrate Doom's compound and head down into the mines.
  • Chapter 8: Buried
    With the help of Cora and Joanna Forge, Star-Lord and Rocket hack their way into Doom's compound, where they find a clue that leads them to the most unlikely of places.
  • Chapter 9: Kraven's Hunt
    Now in Kraven's custody, Star-Lord and Rocket become the ultimate prey, and they get some help from an old friend.
  • Chapter 10: Dawn and Doom
    In their final showdown with Kraven, Star-Lord and Rocket fight to reach the Black Vortex before Kraven does. As the Collector arrives on Earth to claim her prize, Cora finds a new subject to follow.
