Potter Revisited Episode #61 Frank Bryce and the... Oops! He's Dead AKA Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Chapter 1 "The Riddle House" We begin Goblet of Fire! We are both so excited for this book and the darker tone the series takes from here  We answer our first listener question - why do we think Harry is an idiot? Tori brings up some fun GoF facts, including a Weasley character that was eventually scrapped from the book Tori brings up a childhood memory of reading this book for a book report - and her mom not believing she could finish it in time This is one of the few chapters we get that is not through Harry's perspective and Shay loves it We get the life story of Muggle Frank Bryce as well as some backstory on the Riddle family Tori wonders how Voldemort is currently existing  Wormtail is basically keeping Voldemort alive yet he is treated so poorly - it really shows how little self esteem Peter has that he just doesn't leave Voldemort mentions his faithful servant at Hogwarts - foreshadowing the next mystery for the readers to solve The tone in the first chapter already is a lot darker than the first three books  We are introduced to Frank and then he is murdered - does this foreshadowing more deaths to come?
