"In the past ten years only seven dermatology trained individuals pursued fellowship training in pediatric dermatology and only five of those people are still in Canada."Dr Elena Pope joins Kirk Barber for a conversation about her article in the November-December issue of the JCMS: “Pediatric Dermatology in Canada: A Broad Review of Population Needs, Workforce and Training With Proposed Solutions.” It is a fascinating and important conversation about an article that Kirk describes as a call to action to fix the crisis in pediatric dermatology.Dr Elena Pope is the Division Head of Paediatric Dermatology, at the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children and she is a professor of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto medical school.
