Congress has returned for their final week of work before their Thanksgiving break. The Senate continued work today on President Biden's judicial nominations. While a handful of bills are on the House agenda including one that requires tracking barcodes on mail-in ballot envelope and another that bans the U.S. government from doing business with anyone with ties to the current Venezuelan government. House Democrats will hold their leadership elections for the next Congress. That is scheduled for tomorrow. And while Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and his two top deputies are all slated to run for reelection unopposed. Multiple media outlets report that Jasmine Crockett of Texas plans to challenge Debbie Dingell of Michigan as chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee. President Biden is at the G20 summit in Brazil. In his opening remarks, he talked about global development, and support for Ukraine and Israel.
