In December of 1983 a hospital maintenance worker at El Centro Médico de Especialidades in Ciudad Juarez Chihuahua was tasked with dismantling old equipment to sell for scrap metal at a local junkyard. What ensued was the largest nuclear disaster in North American History releasing 100 times more radiation then the partial nuclear meltdown at Three Mile Island.
