In this weeks Womenkind Collective podcast we talk to the fabulous Sunita Passi about her new book, The Dr Won’t See You Now, she explains why there was a need for a book about the Ayurvedic healing system now from the impact of Covid-19. Sunita Passi is an Ayurvedic practitioner who has written a book, The Dr Won’t See You Now, advocating now is the time to heal healthcare, it’s a wake-up call to the power of Ayurveda. Sunita was an investigative journalist prior to becoming an Ayurvedic practitioner, she has put her passion and knowledge into this book, which is accessible and a great entry level book, especially for those that are despondent with the health care system as it is at the moment. The book is interactive with standalone chapters it has wit and knowledge, there’s a dosha quiz at the end of the book to help determine your dosha. Sunita is a great guest who shares her passion and knowledge with the Collective. The Foodie that both Jinty and Lou bought all the ingredients for their Christmas puddings but hadn’t read the recipe properly, find out what they both did wrong and both are blaming the menopause…..so they’re going to sort their cock-up out and stir-it-up this coming Sunday. Jinty brings a jar of Frank Cooper’s marmalade in and we find out Sarah-Jane, Frank’s wife actually made the marmalade but was not recognised on the jar, is it time for change? There’s no Wine Collective this month as we are saving the best tipples for our Christmas party on December 19th. The Book Collective, get to grips with Grace and her narcissistic ways, will she get out of prison? Will she complete her final murder? It’s quite hilarious and is definitely a page turner. Jinty has been to the movies and watched the latest Marvel film, Eternals, it’s long but very much worth watching, Angelina Jolie stars and is a little forgetful in places, is this a nod to the menopause? Well worth watching with a fantastic story line. The WI about kindness makes Lou think about stereotyping especially where she drinks her coffee and when you do an act of kindness you should not have intention, it should be selfless, and should it just be for someone who cannot afford a coffee?
