Baboon aka Chris Volkwine is a foreman for Pivot Customs and one of very few BMX riders in the industry. Pivot is an American-based concrete skatepark construction company. They have done over 3500 projects in 45 countries over the past 20 years. Baboon has been with them for nearly a decade. After wrapping up a skatepark build in Boise, Idaho, Baboon flew into Rochester to join the show. I have known Baboon for a long time and he's a passionate and creative rider. You may recognize him from his work building ramps as Swampfest. This was a great conversation to see behind the curtain of what goes into constructing a concrete skatepark.
