Live show chaos as Robert cannot get connected
Episode Summary
After a chaotic but very funny live start while we tried to get Robert connected, we settled into a wide-ranging conversation on “chameleons” — the masks people wear to get by at work, in public life, and in a culture that rewards conformity. From office politics, onboarding checks, management ego, gossip, and Monday-morning dread, we explored how modern work can feel less like purpose and more like theatre, with plenty of stories from our own working lives. We also got into the wider social picture: propaganda, queueing, obedience, the changing atmosphere of cities, the loss of manners, and whether many people are simply sleepwalking through a system designed to wear them down. From there, the discussion opened out into government, war, media conditioning, AI, the steady erosion of practical skills, and the way institutions shape behaviour. We also spent time on health, food, and self-reliance — from raw milk, eggs, butchers and local produce to diets, processed food, coffee, alcohol, and the question of what our bodies are actually meant to live on. In short, this was one of those classic late-night conversations that moved from the workplace to the world system itself, always with the underlying question: how much of modern life is genuine, and how much is performance?Telegram: https://telegram.org/en/Rumble: https://corp.rumble.com/Restream: https://restream.io/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/Verifile: https://www.verifile.co.uk/Vodafone UK: https://www.vodafone.co.uk/Hogan Lovells: https://www.hoganlovells.com/BBC: https://www.bbc.co.uk/Data Protection Act 2018 / UK data protection guidance: https://www.gov.uk/data-protection/the-data-protection-actUK GDPR guidance and resources: https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/uk-gdpr-guidance-and-resources/The People’s Lawyer (David Adelman): https://thepeopleslawyeruk.com/School - No Place for Children by David Adelman: https://bookshop.org/p/books/school-no-place-for-children-a-wake-up-call-david-adelman/105915bc4f6da7aaRichard Vobes / Vobes.com: https://www.vobes.com/James Delingpole: https://www.jamesdelingpole.co.uk/The Delingpod: https://delingpole.podbean.com/Sonia Poulton: https://www.soniapoulton.co.uk/Kate Shemirani: https://kateshemirani.com/Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride / GAPS: https://www.drnatasha.com/Eddie Abbew: https://www.eddieabbew.com/John Cleese: https://www.johncleese.com/The Screwtape Letters (C.S.
