We talked through listener questions about Social Security numbers issued at birth, birth certificates, affidavits, passports, and the distinction callers were trying to make between statutory procedure and substantive law. Along the way, we referenced the Department of State’s non-citizen nationality guidance, the Social Security system, and the RICO statutes, while also discussing how difficult it can be for people to sort through official documents, legal terminology, and long-standing assumptions about citizenship and status.We also spent a good stretch on the financial side of the picture: central banks, gold repatriation, the IMF, the ECB, Basel III, debt, velocity of money, and why so many people are watching precious metals and digital assets like Bitcoin.
