Tonight's plan and frustration with mainstream news
Resumen del episodio
This week I kicked things off with Eric in full ramble mode, which meant everything from old toasters, sandwich makers and inherited tools to TV licensing, the BBC, modern bureaucracy and why so much of contemporary life feels designed to make ordinary people dependent, confused and fed up. I also gave a proper update from the garden front: the trees, the new mini battery chainsaw, the plan for screening out those dreadful street lights, and the wider satisfaction that comes from doing practical things for yourself. Somewhere in the middle of all that, we also touched on self-reliance, media absurdity, conscription talk in Europe, and why keeping hold of humour matters when public life feels increasingly unhinged. In the final hour, Eli James joined me from America while in the middle of a stressful house move, and from there the conversation deepened into hoarding, independence, institutions and power. We got into Frédéric Bastiat’s The Law, Tupper Saussy’s Rulers of Evil, Charles Chiniquy’s Fifty Years in the Church of Rome, and Alexander Hislop’s The Two Babylons, all of which opened up a wider discussion about priestcraft, propaganda, conscience and the corruption of systems that claim moral authority. So yes, it began with chainsaws and lavatory humour, but it ended where these shows often do: with freedom, truth, and how to keep one’s bearings in an age of managed madness.Paul English Live: https://paulenglishlive.com/Food For Thought Radio: https://www.fftradio.com/Paul English Live on Rumble: https://rumble.com/PaulEnglishLiveThe Global Voice: http://globalvoiceradio.netEuro Folk Radio: https://eurofolkradio.com/Solutions Summit on FFT Radio: https://www.fftradio.com/Richard Vobes: https://www.vobes.com/Eli James - The Great Impersonation: https://www.bannedbyamazon.com/product-page/the-great-impersonationDavid Adelman / The People’s Lawyer: https://thepeopleslawyeruk.com/about/david-adelman/Armstrong Economics: https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/about/TV Licensing: https://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/BBC Help: https://help.bbc.com/hc/en-usWorld Economic Forum: https://www.weforum.org/Temu: https://www.temu.com/Dualit: https://www.dualit.com/Breville UK: https://www.breville.co.uk/SINGER Sewing Machines: https://www.singer.com/Rulers of Evil by F.
